Happy Thanksgiving

My dad is on the other side of his knee replacement surgery. He has been in the hospital for 8 day now. He is doing pretty good. They have been working his knee very hard in physical therapy, and now he can walk with a walker without any help. We are hoping that he will come home tomorrow. I hope so because I have been crazy busy with going to the hospital in the morning, then work, and then coming home to worl some more, and my mom is exhausted!

And now that Thanksgiving is here that means Christmas shopping..which I have yet to start :)

Have a safe and happy Turkey day.

Well I booked my hotel for C4. It's the Westin. It's a little far away, but is the headquarter hotel for the convention, so I decided on that. Hopefully my brother and niece are going to come with me this time. We are going to spend a day or so in LA before the convention and go to San Diego afterwards to see my cousin. In between they are going to see all that LA has to offer including Disney. I am keeping my fingers crossed because I really don't want to fly by myself.

My cousin, who is a big Star Wars fan, can't make it again this year. Sigh :(

I was reading Yoda's blog the other day and came across his map of all the places he has visited. Of course I had to have one of my own so I preceded to spend atleast two hours putting a map together. Time that I should have been working. So here it is.

Oh and you see I am reading The Other Boleyn Girl. It is really about Mary, the sister of Anne Boleyn. *Remember what happened to her - not good* The book is so good and very hard to put down.

Wow it's just about November already! Time is really rolling.

Well I just got back from vacation..went on a cruise to the Caribbean. I have never been on a cruise before, and it was a really good experience. I was only slightly sea sick on the first and last days. The last day we sailed back through 70 knot winds. It was really kinda scary. Went to the beach a few times. I was going to snorkle, but decided I better not when I was scared of the fish.  I did swim with a dolphin though. It's weird that I am scared of the little tiny fish but wasn't scared of the big dolphin.

My dad's knee surgery is set for November 15th. He will be in the hospital for about two weeks.

Oh and I registered for Celebration IV today. I am really hoping to make it, but right now I am not totally sure. I want to make sure I reserve a good hotel just in case.

Happy trick or treating!

I am off to Vegas tomorrow. I am not really going to the strip, but the Lake Las Vegas area. I have been to the strip area once before, and once was enough. I am not really into gambling and partying all night, so it really is not my kind of place. Anyway..I am going to Lumos, a Harry Potter Symposium. It's going to be a blast.....plus I packed my wand .

Then the day I meet J.K. Rowling!............Well not really, but I hear her read from her books at Radio City Music Hall next week!
